Why now

The first three years don't wait for anyone.

The early years are the busiest stretch of brain development your child will ever have. What feeds it most is simple back-and-forth with a grown-up they trust. You, on the floor, doing it with them.

You mean to do something with the weekend. Then it's over, and the mall and the iPad did most of the work. This puts one of those hours back, with something your little one keeps.

It's where a thinking child begins.

How the morning works

Weekend Wonders

Weekend mornings at Fragrance Empire Building, in two slots: nine to ten, or half ten to half eleven. Ten children, one facilitator, and you beside your child the whole hour. Pick the class that fits them, or book both slots and let them try two. In between there's thirty minutes of free play.

Weekends worth getting up for

An hour of play while the little ones roam the toy floor. Plenty of dads and grandparents on the mat every week. We built this for all of you.

They leave with more than a good morning.

What's Included

The same hour works for a nine-month-old and a two-year-old. Your facilitator meets each child at the stage they are actually at that morning.

Your facilitator watches for ten things across the term and tells you what they saw. Plain language, no scores, no report card.

A note home after every class with one small thing to try together before the next.

Bronze, Silver and Gold badges as they grow, with a certificate at the end of each ten-week pack.

It's a personal scoreboard. Measured against last week, never against the child on the next mat.

The quiet worries

The things parents actually ask.

My child is shy and might just watch
That's normal, and it's fine. Some join in on minute one. Some watch for a few weeks first. Both are how children learn. We never ask a child to perform.
Everything goes in her mouth
We know. The playdough is taste-safe, the materials are chosen for the age band, and you're right there beside her the whole hour. It's play, start to finish, and nothing is asked of her that she isn't ready for.
We'll miss weekends
Packs stay valid for six months and the sessions don't have to run week on week. Away for three weeks? Pick it up when you're back.
Can dads and grandparents come?
Yes. One grown-up joins each child, whoever that is. There are dads and grandparents on the mat every week.
What if she needs a feed or a change halfway?
Then feed her or change her. Step out, come back, nobody minds. The hour is built around babies, and babies interrupt. Bring comfy clothes that can get messy, socks and a water bottle. We have the rest.
What if we don't want to commit?
Then don't. Come for the free first class, see how they take to it, and decide after. We'll WhatsApp you the times and the pack that fits, then you take your time.
We appreciated the flexibility of the programme as other schools are usually unaccompanied or did not give us the option to enter the premises.
