Course Content
Our Primary 2 English Enrichment Programme is designed to reinforce and expand foundational language skills, building on the MOE syllabus while enhancing students' proficiency in both written and spoken English. The course emphasizes oral communication, comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary development through fun and engaging activities.
Students will engage in weekly vocabulary and spelling drills to strengthen their word knowledge and improve their spelling. Grammar lessons will focus on sentence structure, punctuation, and parts of speech, supporting writing and speaking activities. Oral communication is further developed through presentation techniques, where students will practice delivering short talks, share ideas, and express opinions confidently.
Comprehension skills are honed through both visual text analysis (Lesson 3) and listening comprehension exercises (Lesson 4). These activities encourage critical thinking and understanding, laying the foundation for higher-order language skills. The term concludes with a creative storytelling project, where students plan, write, and present their own stories, incorporating newly learned language concepts.
