Inspired by the legendary Chinese classic, children will dive into the world of the Monkey King, Pigsy, Sandy, and Tang Monk through storytelling, script reading, and fun drama activities. They will also enjoy creative craft-making and engaging games that bring this timeless tale to life. A fantastic way to build imagination and confidence, as well as strengthen Chinese language skills!

Camp Overview

The Journey to the West Legend Camp is a 2-day, 2-hour-per-day immersive experience designed to spark children’s imagination while deepening their connection to Chinese culture. Through the stories of the Monkey King, Pigsy, Sandy, and Tang Monk, participants will embark on a legendary journey and discover the timeless values of courage, wit, and teamwork in a fun and engaging way.

Camp Content

Children will enjoy a variety of activities, including watching short video clips of the story, script reading, and role-playing key characters from Journey to the West. They will also participate in hands-on craft sessions, where they create themed props or art pieces, and engage in interactive games that bring the story to life.

Learning Outcome

By the end of the camp, children will gain greater confidence in storytelling and performance, improve their Chinese language and expression skills, and develop their creativity through role-playing and crafts. They will also cultivate teamwork, problem-solving, and cultural appreciation, making the experience both educational and memorable.

Teaching Method

The camp uses a blend of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning methods. Teachers will guide students through storytelling and video clips to provide context, facilitate role play to encourage active participation, and support craft-making to reinforce creativity. A playful and supportive environment ensures that every child feels engaged, confident, and inspired.
