A Chinese New Year Family Workshop at Agora Colearning

Celebrate Chinese New Year with hands-on fun, meaningful traditions, and quality family time - all in one afternoon.

As the Chinese New Year approaches, we invite parents and children to step into a joyful, immersive experience where learning meets celebration. At CNY Family Fun+, families don't just watch - you create, play, and learn together.

This special workshop also offers parents a chance to get to know Han Tang Learning Hub, now available at Agora Colearning, where Chinese learning is warm, engaging, and rooted in culture.

Families can enjoy 4 festive activity stations. All activities are ongoing throughout the event, except for storytelling, which runs at a fixed time.

📖 Chinese New Year Storytelling

🕜 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Join us for a lively storytelling session where children are introduced to Chinese New Year traditions, values, and festive vocabulary in a fun, accessible way - suitable even for children who are still gaining confidence in Chinese.

🖌 Chinese Calligraphy Experience (Ongoing)

Parents and children can drop in anytime to try writing auspicious Chinese characters together. Learn their meanings and enjoy the calm, beauty, and rhythm of brush and ink.

🍡 Making of Tanghulu (Ongoing)

A hands-on festive favourite! Children get to experience making a traditional Chinese New Year snack - fun, sensory, and always memorable.

✨ Gold Foil Painting (Ongoing)

Create a sparkling Chinese New Year artwork using gold foil to symbolise prosperity and good fortune. A beautiful keepsake to bring home for the festive season.

🐴 CNY Art Clay

Shape festive creations with art clay while building creativity and fine motor skills - a fun parent-child activity with a meaningful CNY touch.
