Course Overview:
A dynamic and upbeat class designed for young dancers ready to level up! We explore funky footwork, coordination, and expressive style, all while building confidence and performance skills. Great for kids who want to move, groove, and shine on stage.
Course Content:
This class teaches foundational hip hop moves such as grooves, footwork, isolations, and beginner tricks. Students practice short combos and freestyle techniques that enhance creativity and confidence. Each term includes a performance element to give students the chance to showcase what they’ve learned. The class also builds physical strength and stamina through movement drills and warm-ups. Musicality exercises help students better connect movement to beats and rhythms. Through team-based activities and structured routines, students also develop leadership, focus, and a sense of accomplishment.
Learning Outcomes:
- Master beginner-to-intermediate hip hop steps and choreography
- Strengthen musical timing and body control
- Build confidence in group and solo performance
- Enhance creativity through freestyle and improvisation
- Develop teamwork and discipline through consistent class participation
- Learn hip hop moves like slide and glide, isolations, body roll, 2 step, grooves
Teaching Methods:
We use popular music, movement games, and choreography challenges to make learning engaging. Classes are structured but allow freedom of expression, encouraging every child to grow in confidence and coordination.
Prerequisites:
No prior experience needed — just a love for movement, music, and having fun!
Assessment Methods:
It is a fun-based learning technique class, all while receiving friendly, encouraging feedback from their teachers to help them grow and sparkle!
We always encourage the children to get the exciting chance to shine in our year-end performance. When the children are ready, the instructors will invite them to join the performing class!
Important Notes:
- This is a drop-off class where kids get to enjoy their dance time independently, while parents can relax knowing they’re in a safe and happy environment!
