Graphic Design with Canva: 1-day Camp

Course Overview:

Join us for an exciting one-day camp where you’ll dive into the world of graphic design using Canva! Unleash your creativity as you learn to create stunning visuals, from logos to promotional graphics, while developing essential design skills.

Course Content:

You will begin with an introduction to the fundamentals of graphic design, exploring key principles such as color theory, typography, and layout. You’ll learn how graphic designers create visual content to communicate messages effectively by applying techniques in visual hierarchy and page layout.

As part of the hands-on experience, you’ll design your own Company Brand Logo along with selected collateral items, including business cards, letterheads, and basic product packaging. You’ll discover how to navigate Canva’s intuitive interface to produce professional-looking designs. By the end of the day, you’ll have a portfolio of your creations to share!

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will gain a solid understanding of graphic design principles, practical experience using Canva, and a portfolio of their designs. You’ll enhance your visual communication skills and gain confidence in presenting your ideas through design.

No prerequisites are needed.

Assessment Methods:

No assessments will be done.

Required Materials: 

Laptops will be provided for the student’s logo, poster & menu design in Canva. We do encourage you to bring your own laptop or IPad to continue working on your project at home, if preferred. Do email hello@designtinkers.sg to let us know if you will be bringing your own laptop, a week before your holiday camp starts.

A specially prepared thumb drive will be gifted to each student to save all their digital work completed at the holiday camp.
