Course Overview:
In our newest camp, students will learn about space exploration by creating and programming their own robots and space explorers with LEGO WeDo.
Course Content:
Space is the new frontier!
This camp aims to introduce kids to STEAM fields and improve their problem-solving and algorithmic thinking by learning about space. During the camp, we will focus on the scientific challenges of space through various projects. We will build and program planet exploration vehicles, an environmental hazard forecasting tool on a dangerous planet, and rescue robots from spaceships, while gaining insight into space science, cryptography, and Artificial Intelligence. All this will be done with LEGO® WeDo 2.0.
Learning Outcomes:
During the camp, kids will:
- Develop their logical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Learn about scientific topics (space research, technology, computer science, physics, etc.)
- Build and program LEGO robots related to the discussed scientific topics
- Try out programming in different environments
Teaching Methods:
Everyone can learn programming and digital literacy. Our curriculum contains fully gamified, modular, and smart lessons to make learning FUN. We believe in the methodology of 'Learning by Doing'.
In our lessons, theory and practice go hand in hand. Research shows that doing the projects while learning the theory results in long-term results and a good foundation for overall success.
Prerequisites:
Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this camp.
Assessment Methods:
No assessments will be done.
Required Materials:
- Water bottle
- We provide all the necessary tools for the camp.
