NEXT INTAKE - JULY 2025 for K2 children
We are gathering interest to form a new class for K2 children. The new class is tentatively every Friday 3 pm to 4.30 pm.
Feel free to reach out to our Education Consultant to arrange a language proficiency test for your little ones.
OVERVIEW
Trains students to become independent readers, LiftOff is a complete literacy programme that builds on the pre-reading skills taught in LaunchPad and focuses on the mastery of reading.
Word Attack Skills
WHAT?
The ability to select and apply a variety of techniques to decipher text.
WHY?
When learning to read, your child must know and use a combination of word attack skills to enable them to decipher text. By acquiring these skills, your child will confidently distinguish between sight words (i.e. memory words) and decodable words, and apply their skills accordingly to improve their ability to read fluently with good comprehension.
Reading Development: Accuracy, Fluency And Comprehension
WHAT?
Reading is the ability to make sense of text. Accuracy, fluency and comprehension are required to become a competent reader.
WHY?
Mastering the reading process requires reading letters in sequence and enunciating all sounds clearly without hesitation and understanding the meaning of the text. Mastering the reading process enables your child to become an independent reader.

LiftOff Primary Practice covers all language components included in the MOE curriculum:
- Reading comprehension

- Grammar and application

WHY?
