Course Overview:

Words in Bloom: Expressive Writing in Chinese for Young Learners is a creative writing course for children aged 7–10. It nurtures storytelling skills, expressive confidence, and Chinese writing fluency through interactive lessons, playful writing games, and imaginative role-play. Students learn to observe, describe, and narrate with clarity and creativity.

By the end of the course, each child will complete a personal mini-book and proudly present it at the “Young Authors’ Showcase,” celebrating their growth as a young writer.

Course Content:

• Storytelling Foundations: Learn to build complete story structures (beginning, development, twist, ending) using themes like fairy tales, school life, and everyday adventures.
• Speech & Writing Integration: Role-play and scenario-based exercises connect spoken expression with written storytelling.
• Vocabulary & Sentence Expansion: Explore vivid adjectives, action verbs, and rhetorical techniques to bring writing to life.
• Creative Writing Games: Fun activities like “Story Relay” and “Write from Another Viewpoint” spark imagination.
• Showcase & Feedback: Present an original piece in the “Young Authors’ Showcase,” building confidence and pride.
