Course Overview:
Little Musician offers a range of comprehensive and age-appropriate music programmes for students in preschools right up to primary schools. The Little Musician curriculum is built upon a strong pedagogical foundation influenced by many great music pedagogues and pedagogies such as the Orff Schulwerk approach and the Kodály method. Through a range of engaging activities, students are exposed to various musical instruments, genres, and concepts, providing them with a well-rounded musical education. Music learning not only cultivates their musical skills and knowledge but also enhances their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Course Content:
In our programmes, students are offered a wide variety of music experiences through singing, moving, dancing, creating and improvising with an emphasis on ear training, singing, instrumental playing and music literacy in a fun and safe learning environment.
Topics covered include:
- Characteristicsofmusicinstrumentsandprops
- Fundamentals of playing on the various instruments
- Basic understanding of music theory (using resources from the "Music Mind Games")
- Music-making and music technology
Learning Outcomes:
- Competencies of musicianship: ability to identify elements of music, simple note reading and realizing basic notation
- Cultivate an appreciation for music-making before embarking on the journey of music- learning with the instrument of choice
- Embracing IT in music-making and music learning
Teaching Methods:
Music activities are carefully curated and age-appropriate for all students. Some of these activities for young children include storytelling with music; creating movements to music and songs; responding to music with props like parachutes and scarves. Primary school students can look forward to a range of self-directed learning through music-making and music technology.
The trainers are also committed to fulfilling their mission to be "every child's first music teacher" by differentiating instructions that cater to the diverse needs and multiple intelligences of the individuals within the classroom.

Bring a water bottle and a light jacket
Important Notes:
- 27 July session is a trial session for new students only. Not for regular sign-ups.
- Promotional Paid Trial Lesson ($25) is available once for new students till the end of Aug.
- Course fee is $37.50 per lesson
- No class on Public Holiday
