Little Orator (Public Speaking)

Course Overview:

Unleash your child’s confidence and communication by learning the skill of public speaking! The course aims to allow students to overcome the fear of public speaking and foster a love of public speaking and expressing themselves. 

Our Public Speaking classes aim to create a supportive environment where every child can grow their confidence steadily and develop their unique voice. They will also improve their communication by learning to connect with people and even inspire others, which will be a useful skill in school and their future careers.

Course Outline:

Our curriculum covers a wide range of areas designed to foster a child’s love for speaking and stand proud and confident while doing it. These areas include:

• Techniques to overcome stage fright
• Vocal techniques to develop an expressive voice
• Practise confident body language and purposeful stage positioning
• The 3Cs structure of an engaging and impactful story 
• Crafting and delivering different types of speeches
• Fun and engaging activities, including role-playing and debates

Teaching Methods:

Children will engage in a variety of role-playing activities and act out various characters or scenarios, allowing them to express themselves creatively. They will also learn through interactive activities such as debates to structure their thoughts in a fun and dynamic environment. Our teachers will also give personalised feedback that is encouraging and easy to implement, to develop their public speaking skills holistically.

Children will be divided into 2 groups; Ages 6-9 in the beginners group and 10-12 in the intermediate group.

Prerequisites:

No prior experience in public speaking is required! Children need to be able to read and write simple sentences.

Trial Lessons

Paid trial lesson ($44.50) is available once for first-timers

• Min 4 students to start a class 
• No classes on Public Holiday
