PSLE Holiday Mandarin Workshop 小六会考集训营

Course Overview:

Our PSLE Holiday Mandarin Workshop is specifically designed to help students aged 11 to 12 years old prepare for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) Chinese paper. This intensive holiday programme focuses on strengthening students' language skills in Mandarin Chinese, covering key areas such as comprehension, composition, oral communication, and vocabulary enrichment. Through targeted lessons and interactive activities, students will build confidence and competence in Mandarin Chinese to excel in their PSLE examination.

Course Content:

• Vocabulary Enrichment: Expand vocabulary knowledge by learning new words and phrases commonly tested in the PSLE examination. Practice using vocabulary in context and develop language fluency.
• Exam Preparation: Familiarise with the format and requirements of the PSLE Mandarin Chinese paper. Practice past-year exam papers, mock tests, and exam strategies to build confidence and readiness for the PSLE examination.

Learning Outcomes:

• Proficient Pronunciation: Using Hanyu Pinyin, students will master the correct pronunciation of Mandarin words.
• Enhanced Language Skills: We adopt a comprehensive approach, covering listening, reading, comprehension, and oral skills. Students will listen to native speakers, practice listening comprehension, read aloud to improve pronunciation and fluency, and develop their ability to write Chinese characters correctly and efficiently.

Teaching Methods:

Our experienced Mandarin Chinese instructors employ a variety of teaching methods, including group discussions, interactive exercises, role-plays, storytelling, and multimedia resources. Classes are designed to be engaging, dynamic, and conducive to active learning.

Prerequisites:

This course is open to all 2025 PSLE students, aged 11-12 years old.

Assessment Methods:

Assessments in this programme cover basic oral skills, listening skills, writing, and "show and tell" activities, providing a well-rounded evaluation of each student's progress.

Required Materials:

All that's needed is a water bottle and basic stationery. Worksheets and learning materials will be provided by Han Tang Learning.
