Roblox Multiverse Camp

Description
Overview:
The camp's primary focus is to ensure a safe and engaging environment where students can enhance their logical thinking skills by developing functional Roblox game mods using various tools and game design principles in Roblox Studio. We also explore the significance of cooperative gaming. By the end of the camp, students will be able to create their first Roblox game and invite their friends to play with it on any platform (mobile, Xbox, PC, etc.).
Course Content:
- Learn how to use Roblox Studio
- Create custom maps/objects/scripts
- Get familiar with game design principles
- Learn how to use Roblox in a safe way
- Learn the importance of cooperative gaming
Syllabus for the week:
Day 1
On the first day of the week, we get familiar with the safety of the Roblox game. We discuss what types of impulses a player can encounter in Roblox and learn many ways to handle them. We’re going to study safety steps for our account and private data, and talk about password importance. We introduce Roblox Studio and get acquainted with multiversum. Start building our first world, which is a lobby, while learning several editing tricks in the game editor.
Day 2
On the second day, we discuss different situations and solutions of our account safety, like if it’s getting stolen. We touch on the topic of cooperative and shared game ethics. We build our first cooperative place with physical obstacles; on othe ther hand, we get familiar with setting changes. After these, we learn about Roblox’s used programming language, Luau and the usage of AI Chatbots. We connect our first two places with this knowledge.
Day 3
In the middle of the week, we learn about passwords, encrypting and decoding. AI-powered script writing in Roblox is getting introduced. Connect encrypt passwords in objects of Roblox. We create a new cooperative place with basic scripts.
Day 4
On day four, we build a collecting game with the toolbox and analyse them to create our own ones together. We learn about grouped objects its importance in our game. Add design elements like effects, user interface.
Day 5
On the last day of the week, we create magic doors, which is connected with the game’s chat. We refresh our knowledge and finish our worlds, and their connectivity.
Teaching Methods:
Everyone can learn programming and digital literacy. Our curriculum contains fully gamified, modular, and smart lessons to make learning FUN. We believe in the methodology of 'Learning by Doing'. In our lessons, theory and practice are hand in hand – research shows that doing the projects while learning the theory results in long-term results and a good foundation for overall success.
Prerequisites:
Students do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this camp.
