Course Overview:
Ready to be the Next-Gen Entrepreneur? Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs... what do they all have in common? They all have a passion for achieving something and they believe that 'Everything is Possible'.
In this 3-days camp, your children will learn of the mindset of an Entrepreneur and
sharpen their critical thinking and manage challenges during the case study.
Course Content:
Intro to Entrepreneurship: Students will work in teams to complete a challenge to reflect on their entrepreneurial mindsets and skills.
Creativity: Provides the opportunity for students to play and to connect with their own innate creativity they may have felt more strongly when they were younger. Students work in groups to use existing products and objects to come up with (and then act out) the wackiest inventions they can think of.
Ideation: Good ideas, bad ideas, workable ideas, crazy ideas… Idea generation is the start of coming up with a solution to fill the gap of current problems. Through Group Brainstorming & Brainwriting or even Reverse Brainstorming, ideas are generated. Having a mindset that actively seeks out opportunity, willingness to try out different solutions, always curious about things and having a learning attitude etc. All these are ingredients of great thinkers, inventors and achievers!
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn the Importance of Active Observation in Critical Thinking
- Learn to Examine & Differentiate Products from the same category/market
- Learn the Design Thinking Process
- Learn to Present their findings with Confidence & in a Convincing Manner
- Learn to Develop Ideas for new products in that same market
Teaching Methods:
- Game-based Activities: Children will be given assignments to complete through the Game.
- Group Discussion Challenges: Children will be grouped in smaller groups and complete Activities within a certain timeframe or accomplish a certain criteria set by the teacher.
- Hands-on Activities: Children will be given materials to create the items required by the teacher.
