Course Overview:
Attention all aspiring young detectives! Unleash your investigative skills and step into a captivating world of mystery, intrigue, and crime investigation. Through hands-on activities, our young detectives will sharpen their analytical skills and ignite their curiosity and passion for scientific exploration!
Children will learn about different topics and reinforce their knowledge with fun and interactive STEAM activities. This workshop is designed to engage children in a fun and educational exploration of various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities.
Course content:
In this workshop, our detectives will uncover the truth behind 'The Hijacked Lunchbox' through experiments and analysis.
They will complete the following projects during this 3 hours workshop:
- Secret Message Deciphering II
- Deducing the Mystery Powder through Different Experiments
- Close Up Observation with a Microscope
Learning outcomes:
In this camp, Explorers will engage in different activities to:
A. Learn the importance of collecting evidence and understand the concept of trace evidence and how it can be used in investigations.
B. Develop observation skills by identifying different types of evidence
C. Learn how microscopes work as well as basic mapping and navigation skills.
D. Develop deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills by decoding encrypted messages using traditional deciphering tools and analysis of the evidence
Teaching methods:
Experiential Learning: Students will be acquiring knowledge through firsthand experiences and engaging in practical, hands-on activities.

Stationery and Water bottle
Important notes:
There will be a 15-minute short break during the workshop for children to take a rest
