Course Overview: 

Join our fun and educational hands-on 3D printing 1-day Holiday Camp designed for children to learn and experience the limitless possibilities of 3D printing, transforming their ideas into reality.

Guided by experienced instructors who specialise in creating unique 3D printed designs, children will be taught how to create a digital form with the computer software, TinkerCAD and experience the 3D printing process to produce a stationery prototype. This unique hands-on experience will empower them to envision, design, and shape their future prototypes.

Children will have a fun, immersive and meaningful maker learning experience and take home their creations at the end of the session.


Course Content: 

Stepping up to our Level 2 programme, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the slicing and 3D printing process, including the workings of support structures and strategies to optimize the 3D printing success rate. Through hands-on activities, students will learn the skills of support removal and fine-tuning print settings to achieve desired printing results.


Learning Outcomes: 

Build a form/ object in 3D digital space and transform it into a 3D printed physical form. Understand the process and material used for printing and the printing parameters to achieve the desired finished output.


Teaching Methods:

By combining presentation slides, hands-on demonstrations using the TinkerCAD software, and personalised instruction, the instructors provide an engaging and enriching learning journey that inspires creativity, innovation, and a passion for the world of 3D design and printing.


Prerequisites:

Complete the course - Introduction to TinkerCAD + 3D printing: Level 1


Assessment Methods:

No assessments will be done


Required Materials: 

  • Please let us know if your child would like to bring his/ her own laptop for the class (only if your child has one). It is not compulsory but we do encourage bringing your own personal laptop so your child can continue learning to use the program at his/her own time.
  • Water bottle

  • Price includes 2x snacks and lunch. All 3D printing equipment and materials will be provided.
