Description
Course Overview:
Join us for a full day of fun and educational 3D printing holiday program designed for children to learn and experience the limitless possibilities of 3D printing, transforming ideas into reality.
Guided by experienced instructors and 3D printing specialists, children will learn TinkerCAD to create a mini stationery pot before exporting it to a 3D printer for printing. Children will witness the process of their digital form being printed from scratch.
Course Content:
Children will have a fun, immersive and meaningful maker learning experience and take home their creations at the end of the session.
Students will learn TinkerCAD to create a digital form before exporting the form to a 3D printer for printing. Students will witness the process of their designed object being printed from scratch. While waiting for the 3D print, students will continue to explore TinkerCAD digital space; learning how to use the software as a design tool to create various digital forms. This immersive hands-on learning will empower them to envision, design, and shape their future prototypes.
In the afternoon session, children will work in small groups to build the tallest structure using 3D-printed components to enhance learning through play. This activity will promote creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
Learning Outcomes:
Build a form/ object in 3D digital space and transform it into a 3D printed physical form. Understand the process and material used for printing and the printing parameters to achieve the desired finished output.
It will be a fun-filled, immersive and meaningful maker learning experience with mini-challenges, quizzes and prizes to win, and take home their own creations at the end of the session!
Teaching Methods:
By combining presentation slides, hands-on demonstrations using the TinkerCAD software, and personalised instruction, the instructors provide an engaging and enriching learning journey that inspires creativity, innovation, and a passion for the world of 3D design and printing.

No assessments will be done
Required Materials:
- Please let us know if your child would like to bring his/ her laptop to the class (only if your child has one). It is not compulsory but we do encourage bringing your own personal laptop so your child can continue learning to use the program at his/her own time.

Important Notes:
- Price includes 2x snacks and lunch. All 3D printing equipment and materials will be provided.
- This course is compulsory for students who plan to participate in Intermediate to TinkerCAD + 3D printing: Level 2
