Course Overview:
Children will get the best of both worlds with the Little Skoolz's Twin Camp! This is a 5-day STEM camp that combines lessons from 2 of the brand’s programmes, which are Little Doctor School and Little Veterinarian School. They will not only learn about the different body systems; they will learn about pet care and safety, too!
Course Content:
Here are some of the topics that the little Doctors and Veterinarians will go through during the camp:
- What is in the Veterinarian's office?
- Food and water
- Laceration
- The immune system and vaccinations
- What is the Doctor's Bag?
- All about the heart!
- Digesting Digestion
- Is there a surgeon in the house?
- Medical fun and graduation!
Learning Outcomes:
Veterinarian Knowledge:
- Students learn the importance of proper nutrition and eating proper foods in keeping a dog healthy and growing properly.
- Know what to do when a dog gets hurt and how to care for stitches.
- Learn the importance of ticks and how to check their dogs for ticks.
Biology:
- Explain heart facts and how it works, Identify the different parts of the heart and know what it looks like.
- Discuss how the stethoscope aids in hearing normal and abnormal heart sounds.
- Understand how lungs work, and how lungs exchange air for oxygen and carbon dioxide.
- Discuss what lung function tests measure.
- Understand how the entire process of digestion works and explain it to others.
Medical Knowledge:
- Discuss the concept of “scrubbing”
- Suture and tie surgical knots
- Explain how a surgeon works as part of a team
- Discuss the key concepts he or she learned in the Little Medical School course
- Understand what it takes to become a doctor and design your future office
Teaching Methods:
- Game-based Activities: Children will be given assignments to complete through the Game.
- Group Discussion Challenges: Children will be grouped in smallergroupsp and complete Activities within a certain timeframe or accomplish a certain criteria set by the teacher.
- Hands-on Activities: Children will be given materials to create the items required by the teacher.

Water bottle, stationery and jacket
