Build a Skyscraper

Sketch, build and test a tower that stands tall, made from everyday materials.

Overview

Your child steps into the shoes of an architect for the day. They imagine and build a skyscraper that is their very own.

They start by finding out what makes the world's famous towers special. Through small hands-on experiments with balance, weight and height, they learn what keeps a tall building standing.

Then they sketch their tower's shape and turn the drawing into a real model. They try different materials and building methods. They test it, fix it and make it better until it stands tall.

Who it's for

Children aged 8 to 12 who love building, stacking or finding out how things work. No design experience needed. Children are grouped by age: 8 to 9, and 10 to 12.

Class format

1-day holiday camp, 9.30am to 3pm.

Hands-on studio session, from sketches to a tested 3D tower.

Led by a team of educators, architects and designers.

$165 for the 1-day camp. Includes snacks, lunch and all model-making materials.
