Danspirations - Ballet Level 2

Course Overview:

Building strength, confidence, and artistry in young dancers.

Level 2 Ballet continues a child’s classical ballet journey by developing stronger technique, musicality, and expressive movement. Classes are designed to support growing dancers as they refine coordination, control, and performance quality, while nurturing confidence and a deeper love for ballet. This level prepares students for more structured classical training and optional Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations.

Course Content:

Level 2 Ballet classes focus on developing secure foundational technique with increased clarity, strength, and control. Students work on ballet exercises at the barre and in the centre, including pliés, tendus, dégagés, rond de jambe, balances, and simple turns.

Learning Outcome:

• Demonstrate improved strength, balance, and coordination
• Perform Level 2 ballet movements with clearer technique and control
• Develop musicality, rhythm, and movement accuracy
• Improve posture, alignment, and use of arms
• Show growing confidence and expression in performance
• Understand and apply Grade 2 ballet terminology
• Build discipline, focus, and confidence in a structured class setting

Teaching Methods:

We blend formal ballet instruction with creative tasks and encouraging feedback. Movement is taught progressively with visuals and verbal cues. Lessons are designed to build confidence and enjoyment while introducing classical ballet technique.

Assessment Methods:

Students get the exciting chance to shine in our year-end performance and can choose to take Royal Academy of Dance exams if they want — all while receiving friendly, encouraging feedback from their teachers to help them grow and sparkle!

Prerequisites:

Our ballet class recommendations are based on age and experience level. As children develop at different paces, a trial lesson is encouraged. During the trial, the teacher will observe your child's movement and class readiness before recommending the most suitable class level.

Required Material:

Ballet attire: Class uniform and ballet shoes

Important Notes:

• This is a drop-off class where kids get to enjoy their dance time independently, while parents can relax knowing they're in a safe and happy environment!
• Please note that the child will need to purchase a set of ballet attire, when they enrol. One set of ballet attire costs: $72
• Attire payment will be made directly to Danspirations: DANSPIRATIONS PTE. LTD. - UEN: 201903199M
