Level 3: Intermediate TinkerCAD + 3D Printing

OVERVIEW

Ready for the next challenge? This Level 3 holiday camp is the next step for young makers who have completed our Level 1 and Level 2 Tinkercad + 3D Printing camps. Guided by experienced instructors, students dive deeper into Tinkercad, learn more advanced modelling techniques, and design, 3D print and assemble their very own working clicker. Along the way, they get a full behind-the-scenes look at how 3D printing really works - and how to fix it when it doesn't. Expect a fun, hands-on day of making, with mini challenges, quizzes and prizes - and a 3D-printed creation to take home!

WHO IT'S FOR

Students aged 8-9 and 10-12 who have completed BOTH Level 1 and Level 2 Tinkercad + 3D Printing Holiday Camps.

CLASS FORMAT

• 1-day, in-person holiday camp at Agora Colearning (Fragrance Empire Building, 456 Alexandra Road)
• Full day (approx. 5.5 hours) with 2 snacks and lunch provided
• Small-group, hands-on maker session led by experienced instructors
• Personal laptops are required

WHAT WILL BE COVERED

• Advanced Tinkercad modelling techniques
• Designing, 3D printing and assembling a working clicker
• The full 3D printing process: filament types, infill patterns and print settings
• Spotting common 3D printing issues, what causes them, and how to troubleshoot and improve prints
• Mini challenges, quizzes and prizes to put new skills into practice

COURSE FEE

$190 per student (GST inclusive). Includes 2 snacks, lunch and all 3D printing materials.

• Laptops are provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own. If your child is bringing a laptop, please let us know at least 1 day before the camp starts.
• Students take home their 3D-printed creation.
