Playschool - Weekend Wonders - Build and Bond

At our Playschool- Weekend Wonders- Build and Bond programme, we prioritise giving children the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace. With parents supporting alongside and teacher guiding through imaginative, hands-on play, children learn to build, collaborate and explore together. They develop their fine motor skills, spatial reasoning and confidence and young creators, while being introduced to early STEAM concepts of construction and problem-solving.

The sessions run over a 10 week term, and introduces a progression of collaborative problem solving skills; such as planning, sequencing, co-ordination, teamwork, creativity, resilience and communication.

To encourage enjoyment and to monitor progress by the end of each term children will achieve a badge and certificate of achievement.

• Bronze level is to begin to explore these skills at a basic level, independently and with guidance.
• Silver level is to demonstrate awareness and competence, by working with peers to design and build in small group situations.
• Gold level is to refine age appropriate problem-solving and construction skills, showing the ability to plan, adapt, and apply understanding in collaborative building or game-like challenges.

The Build and Bond Programme runs on a Saturday at 10:30am until 11:30am or a Sunday at 9:00am until 10:00am, each session has a 30 minute free exploration session after the class.

10-Session- Packages and 20-Session-Packages are available for purchase valid for 6 months.

If a specific class in the term is missed, families are offered a make-up opportunity during the same weekend on the alternate day, or during the next term to ensure progression checklists can be completed and certificates and badges can be awarded.
