Playschool - Weekend Wonders - Rhythm and Rhyme

At our Rhythm and Rhyme programme, part of our Weekend Wonders series under our Playschool, we prioritise giving children the freedom to move, listen and express themselves naturally. With parents supporting alongside and teachers guiding through music, movement and storytelling, children explore rhythm, sound and creative expression; building co-ordination, confidence and a joyful connection to the performing arts.

Through the duration of the programme, children will be introduced to musicality and expressive communication; such as Rhythm, Rhyme, Pitch, Expression, Creativity, Imitation, and Confidence. They will opportunity to track their progress and be rewarded through badges and certificates of achievement.

• Bronze level is to explore these skills at a basic level.
• Silver level is to demonstrate awareness and competence by singing, moving, or role-playing within small group situations.
• Gold level is to refine age-appropriate musical and expressive skills, showing the ability to apply understanding in simple performance or collaborative story/song games.

The Rhythm and Rhyme Programme runs on a Saturday at 10:30am until 11:30am or a Sunday at 9:00am until 10:00am, each session has a 30 minute free exploration session after the class.

10-session packages and 20-session packages are available for purchase valid for 6 months.

If a specific class in the term is missed, families are offered a make-up opportunity during the same weekend on the alternate day, or during the next term to ensure progression checklists can be completed and certificates and badges can be awarded.
