Chess Variants Camps: Where Strategy Meets Adventure!

Course Overview: 

Chess Variants Camp is your ticket to chess success if you already play full games and are ready to take on tournaments and more challenging games. But we make sure you'll have tons of fun during the adventure with us!

Course Content: 

Picture a chess game where the rules are switched up, making you think in new and creative ways, like a roller coaster of chess strategy! All these adventures will help you become a chess superstar, especially in competitive gameplay situations.

Learning Outcomes: 

• Play chess variants to hone chess skills
• Develop flexibility in strategic perspectives
• Learn new concepts, e.g., piece dynamics, pawn strategy, defensive tactics

Teaching Methods:

We utilise a combination of storytelling, art, and drama to assist children in building their own characters. They can explore backgrounds, strengths, weaknesses, and motivations. Children learn more enthusiastically in a risk-free story-driven environment.

Prerequisites:

Ages 6 to 12

Participants who are familiar with basic strategy and piece valuation

Assessment Methods:

No assessments will be done

Required Materials: 

Water bottle 

Important Notes: 

The camp has a duration of 180 minutes, parents are advised to be on time for class. No additional time extension will be given if the class is missed.
