Make a Keychain - Canva Digital Workshop

Course Overview:

Attention all asipiring young designers! Embark on a digital adventure with our Learn with Canva Workshop! This workshop combines technology and art, offering young designers an opportunity to gain valuable digital design skills while fostering creativity and self-expression.

Children will get to use a variety of tools and reinforce their understanding through different activities on the Canva platform. This workshop is designed to engage children in a fun and meaningful digital experience, providing a gateway for them to express their creativity in the digital realm.

Course content:

In this workshop, our designers will explore and understand the different tools on the Canva platform.

They will complete the following projects during this 3 hours workshop:

• Design two different types of gifs
• Design a personal logo that represents yourself
• Print out your personal logo and make it into a keychain

Learning outcomes:

In this workshop, Explorers will engage in different activities to:

A. Learn and understand behind the scenes of the world of animation as they create different gifs

B. Boost creativity and self expression by exploring the impacts of different colours and fonts. Apply this understanding to create designs that represents their own personalities.

C. Navigate and explore various features within the Canva platform. Understand the purpose and functionality of different design elements.

Teaching methods:

Project-Based Learning (PBL):Students will be participating in creative and practical projects where they apply the knowledge they've acquired.

Assessment methods:

No assessments will be done

Required materials:

• Personal belongings: Stationery and Water bottle
• Bring your own device: Laptops / Tablets/ iPads
• Mouse for Laptops
• Charger for device

Application download:

• Ensure that Tablets and iPads have installed the Canva application before the class. Canva is available for download in Google Playstore and Apple Store

Important notes:

There will be a 15-minute short break during the workshop for children to take a rest
